For the first time at Luther Burbank Home & Gardens, we will be hosting a series of four dinners held on the grounds of this historic site on four summer evenings. Chef John Lyle is continuing his successful series of “Chosen Spot” pop-up dinners inspired by and dedicated to Luther Burbank and his horticultural accomplishments.
Last year, Lyle’s “Chosen Spot” dinners were held in historic places around Sonoma County where guests enjoyed unusual menus that included in-season locally-grown ingredients and a casual atmosphere. This time, the setting for these early-evening suppers will be in the beautiful historic gardens of Luther Burbank in Santa Rosa.
You will enjoy a culinary delight created by a talented local chef who focuses his menus on the produce introduced by the “plant wizard,” Luther Burbank. A wine and cheese pairing will be the first course before sitting down to family-style dining in a garden setting. Chef Lyle will create a different menu for each of the four dinners depending on what is in season and available that month from local growers.
Come and enjoy a fun-filled evening this summer on June 9, July 7, August 11, or September 8 beginning at 5:30pm! Bring friends and enjoy good food and wine in a unique environment. (Guests who require gluten-free or vegetarian meals must indicate when making reservations.) Reservations are required as seating is limited.
